Two dates stand out in recent memory as pertains to the cause for canonization of Mother Mary Lange, OSP; they are May 8, 2010 and May 12, 2010. On May 8 His Excellency Edwin F. O’Brien, D.D., Archbishop of Baltimore, celebrated Mass at the mother cathedral of Catholicism in America, the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, imploring God to grant us the grace of witnessing the advancement of her cause for canonization. Sr. Mary Alexis Fisher, OSP, Superior General of the Oblate Sisters of Providence, led the congregation in reciting the prayer for canonization of her orders’ foundress. Read More
